Several other businesses have expressed an interest in joining, so please encourage your business clients and friends to be part of the “Promote Bethany Team”.
Membership growth was accomplished through the active involvement of many of our members. Thank you for making our economic & business climates better and for improving our quality of life. A “special thanks” to Janie Martz, for her hard work and enthusiasm have contributed greatly to our growth.

Thank You - Shelia. Shelia Langfitt is a dedicated, longtime supporter of the Chamber. She served as an officer from 2003 to 2010 and was a committed member even back when the number of active members was just a handful. Your contribution as an officer will be missed,
but look forward to your continued commitment to the Chamber.

Radio Ad Campaign. Have you heard the Chamber ads on Ameri-KAAN radio? They have been running since late January and are promoting our new members, our upcoming events and Buy Local / Shop Bethany.
Great NW Day. This annual event at the Capital in Jefferson City enables participants to promote Bethany/Harrison County to the state officials. Bethany’s attendees set up this attractive booth to show off our community.

Website. If you haven’t checked out the Chamber website recently you should! Thanks to the efforts of Jeff Ellis our Geek on the Go, enhancements have been made. Jeff will make a presentation on the website at the March meeting. Everyone needs to look at the new directory and insure their business is listed correctly under all applicable categories.
Upcoming Events
Style Show & Fashion Expo. The Chamber is building on the tremendous success of last year’s show. There are already more than 25 booths. This year the Show will be held on April 2 at the South Harrison High School. It’s not too late to participate, just see Cheri Foster or Janie. Thank you to Cheri and Janie for taking the lead on this outstanding event.
Easter Egg Hunt. The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Bethany Park on April 23. Join as a sponsor by contacting Cathy Smith or Janie. Thank you to Cathy and Janie for organizing the hunt.
Fundraising Lunches. In the pursuit of raising funds to support our many activities, the Chamber has decided to host a monthly lunch meal. This will be similar to what the Chamber has done in the past in support of Relay for Life. Proceeds from meals in April, May and June will go to the Relay, with proceeds from the remaining months used to support our other activities. Janie will be leading the effort to organize the lunches with support from our members. Lunches will be on the 4th Wednesday with the first set for March 23.
Babe Adams Festival. It’s not too soon to start planning for the Festival to be held June 11-12. Let Janie know if you are interested in being part of the team to organize this year’s event.
Information Center. The Information Center will be opening soon and we are still in need of a few volunteers to help with staffing. Please let Janie know if you are aware of someone interested in providing this community service.
